Single needle tattooing is one my favorite styles to work in. Making this single needle cowboy on horse back for Maxwell at the Eagle Rock shop was a lot of fun and an enjoyable technical challenge. This design took approximately 6 hours to complete and is around four inches tall, it was done in one sitting. With single needle tattooing you can achieve a level of detail not possible with other needle groupings and styles. Maxwell has a collection of fine line tattoos we’ve done over the last 3 years and they’re all aging great since he takes care of them as they heal and keeps them out of the sun. With the appropriate care while healing single needle tattoos can settle well and last a lifetime.
